Adelaide Law Scholar won Competitive Grant from the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia

 

Through a highly competitive process, the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia (ASSA) recently decided the results of the 2018 round of applications for the Australia-China Joint Action Program, together with Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Dr Nengye Liu’s project “regulating China’s distant water fishing in the Polar Regions” is one of four projects that was funded in the country. The project is in total worth of $13,000. It will allow Dr Nengye Liu to travel to Beijing, Shanghai and Qingdao to conduct field research regarding Chinese fishing in the Arctic and Antarctica. Furthermore, Prof Hongyan Liu, Director of Ecological Law Unit, Institute of Law, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences will be visiting Adelaide Law School as part of the project. The Adelaide Law School congratulate Dr Nengye Liu on winning this grant.
