Adelaide Law School’s free legal advice service ALOS assisted its 100th client for 2019 this week.
Located at Westcare Centre in Adelaide CBD, ALOS provides legal advice and support to clients who can’t afford to pay a lawyer, in areas as diverse as criminal, family, housing, probate, and debt.
Final year law students Miranda Traeger, Monica Zanchetta, Eleanor Small, Samantha Perera, Gulima Wahidi, and Madeliene Coats (absent) jumped straight into the deep end with their second semester CLE placement, already consulting clients and providing legal advice under the supervision of solicitor Dr Ross Savvas.
Clinical Legal Education is often hidden from public view because of the confidential nature of our work, but the Law School is proud of the 100s of people that we are able to help each year through the free legal clinics.
