The Adelaide Law School wishes to congratulate the recent appointments for its graduands:
Dr Melissa Perry QC, has been appointed to the Federal Court of Australia. Dr Perry graduated in 1985 with an LLB (Honours). She was admitted to the Supreme Court of South Australia as a barrister and solicitor in 1985. In 2004 she was appointed Queens Counsel and was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in 2012.
The Hon Justice Richard White, has been appointed to the Federal Court of Australia. Justice White graduated in 1976 with an LLB (Honours). He was admitted to the Supreme Court of South Australia as a barrister and solicitor in 1977. In 1997 he was appointed Queens Counsel and has been a judge of the Supreme Court of South Australia since 2004.
His Honour Chief Judge Geoffrey Muecke has been appointed Chief Judge of the District Court. Judge Muecke graduated in 1969 and was admitted to practice in 1970, becoming a barrister in 1982. He joined the bench in 1999.
The Adelaide Law School wishes Justices White, Perry and Chief Judge Muecke well with their significant judicial offices.
