On Thursday 30 January, the Law School hosted a visit from three judges from Japanese Family Courts: Ms Kaoru Ishihara, from the Nagoya family Court; Mr Kaoto Kida, from the Yokohama Family and District Court and Mr Yoshito Muramatsu, Senior Court Clerk of the Kofu Family Court. Informal discussions regarding Family Law, mediation and ADR were held at the Law School, with the assistance of PhD candidate, Craig Ellis, and the judges were taken on a tour of the Courts, organised by Margaret Castles.
