A team of students from the Adelaide Law School will compete in Hong Kong from 11 March to 18 March in the Viz East, International Arbitration Moot.
The team, comprising Mitchell Brunker, Azaara Perakath, and Jake Kriticos, has prepared by competing in the CIArb International Arbitration Moot, where they were semi-finalists, and the Australia Viz Pre-Moot, where they were runners up in a grand final (pictured above) presided over by former High Court Justice Susan Crennan AC QC. The team is the same team that beat out competitors from around Australia and New Zealand to win last year’s ALSA Open Moot competition.
The team has been generously sponsored by Lipman Karas and has been supported in their preparation by Lipman Karas practitioners Mark Giddings, as team coach, and Sylvia Tee and Julia Dreosti, adjudicating practice moots and giving guidance on research.
We wish the team best of luck for the competition in Hong Kong!
