Yesterday evening the University of Adelaide team (Azaara Perakath, Mitchell Brunker and Jake Kriticos) was thrilled to break through into the knock-out round of 32 from out of almost 130 teams. Today, in the round of 32 the team lost in a very close moot against Gujarat Law School.
The Law School is immensely proud and congratulates the team on their fine performance.
The team arrived in Hong Kong last Sunday and the competition began with an opening ceremony and welcome event for all participating teams.
On Monday morning the team made a trip to visit the Hong Kong office of team sponsor Lipman Karas’ where they were treated to sweeping views of the city!
On each day from Monday to Thursday the team competed against one of four universities from India, Cambodia, Japan and Slovenia.
The team has enjoyed the interaction between different legal systems and cultures brought by the participating teams and diverse range of arbitrators.
Aside from mooting, the team has taken advantage of Hong Kong’s street shopping opportunities, culinary delights and night life.
